Contraindications

- Hypersensitivity to any of the active substances or excipients used.

- Children under the age of two years.

- Breathing problem such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis

- glaucoma

- Trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland

Drug interactions

- Pregabalin, Duloxetine: Increased side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, poor concentration, impaired thinking and motor coordination.

- Fursemide: increased blood pressure lowering effect

- Diphenhydramine: increase in unwanted side effects (dry mouth, dizziness, drowsiness, blurred vision).

Dosage and usage

 

- For the prevention and treatment of these symptoms associated with motion sickness: nausea, vomiting, dizziness

- Dimenhydrinate is mainly used as an antiemetic in the prevention and treatment of motion sickness, radiation sickness, postoperative vomiting, and drug-induced vomiting.

Dosage:

Adults and children 12 years of age and over: 1-2 chewables every 4-6 hours, not to exceed 8 tablets per day.

Children aged 6-12 years: ½-1 tablet every 6-8 hours, not to exceed 3 tablets per day.

Children from 2-6 years old: ½ tablet every 6-8 hours, not to exceed one and a half tablet during the day.

Side Effect

Drowsiness, headache, blurred vision, tinnitus, dry mouth, dizziness, hypotension, paradoxical CNS stimulation in children, loss of appetite, arrhythmia, nervousness, thickening of bronchial secretion.
