Each rectal suppository contains 25 mg, 50 mg or 100 mg dimenhydrinate
- Hypersensitivity to any of the active substances or excipients used.
- Children under the age of two years.
- Breathing problem such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis
- glaucoma
- Patients with porphyria
- Pregabalin, duloxetine, anticholinergics, anti-Parkinson's drugs: increased side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, poor concentration, impaired thinking and motor coordination.
- Diphenhydramine and other antihistamines: increased undesirable side effects (dry mouth, dizziness, drowsiness, blurred vision).
- May counteract the effects of betahistine
For the prevention and treatment of these symptoms associated with motion sickness: nausea, vomiting, dizziness
Dimenhydrinate is mainly used as an antiemetic in the prevention and treatment of motion sickness, radiation sickness, postoperative vomiting, and drug-induced vomiting.
Dosage :
Adults: The usual dose for motion sickness is 50-100 mg suppository every 6-8 hours, as needed.
The usual dose for radiation patients: 50-100 mg 30-60 minutes before treatment, with a maximum dose during the day of 400 mg.
The dose should be taken at least half the capacity before, and one to two hours before travel.
Children 12 years and over: 50 mg every 8-12 hours, as needed.
Drowsiness, headache, blurred vision, tinnitus, dry mouth, dizziness, hypotension, paradoxical CNS stimulation in children, loss of appetite, arrhythmia, nervousness, thickening of bronchial secretion.
